Balaena I: "In The Throws of The Current Seas"

Dive in and be blessed by whale energy, giant of all giants on this beautiful planet - Beast of the oceans… wave maker, market mover… When the markets move by 20% in a day, can you control your emotions? Are you the giant at play, or are you the damsel in distress, trying to keep your head above the floods of inflation?

The original of this artwork is meticulously put together with elements of various fiat money collected from my travels. The Americans amongst you might even recognise your past presidents' hairstyles amongst the frothy waves! ;)  

Find the hidden easter eggs in this mystical artwork, spot the astronaut, trying to reach for the stars on his way to the Moon… (do you know what country he is from?)… decipher the hidden binary code message, the trader and bitcoin culture puns hidden in the deconstructed fiat symbolisms, oh… and of course… the answer to everything and the meaning of life..! 



About the original: 

The original is a little smaller than the edition of 42 as it contains the actual currencies. It was made with various international fiat, gently shimmering metallic inks and certified Moon Dust (on the whale body). 

Including beautiful, poetic elements of the Weimar Republic Banknotes from 1908, as well as the Zimbabwean Dollar (the aggressive fish) - both of which are currencies that famously hyper inflated in their respective countries.
